Abortion Impact on African-Americans

Impact of Abortion
on African-Americans

The Impact is Real, and Tragic        IRLC Radio Messages

The impact of abortion on the African-American community has become a serious crisis, but is only now beginning to get much attention.  Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, said: “Abortion is a racist, genocidal act.  Children are the future.  When you destroy your children, you destroy hope.”

What is the leading cause of death for African-Americans?  Common answers range from cancer or heart disease to gang violence.  Tragically, the correct answer is abortion.  More African-Americans have died from abortion than have died from AIDS, accidents, violent crimes, cancer, and heart disease combined.

African Americans comprise 13% of the population, yet African American women have 35% of abortions.  Their abortion rate is three times higher than average and four times the rate for white women.  Since the Roe v. Wade decision, nearly 17 million black babies have been aborted, reducing the potential black population by almost one third.

The Role of Planned Parenthood       Exposing Planned Parenthood

In America today, almost as many African-American babies are aborted as are born.  Planned Parenthood operates the nation's largest chain of abortion clinics and almost 80 percent of its facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.   Their approach to family planning is genocide.

When Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, set up her “Negro Project,” she was quoted as saying, "We don't want the word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population."  Since almost 80% of its facilities are in minority neighborhoods, it’s safe to say their plans haven’t changed. Isn’t it time to protect African-American babies and their mothers and stop the genocide?

Abortion Kills a Developing Baby        Development of the Child

So, you’re pregnant and thinking about abortion.  Did you know that your baby has a beating heart at 18 days, brain waves at 47 days and fingerprints at eight weeks and you haven’t even felt your baby move yet?

Did you know that the so-called “choice” of abortion is usually made by someone other than the pregnant woman? But, you’re a mother now. Your baby is growing under your heart. Isn’t it time to take charge of your own life and take care of your baby?

Will your baby be one more black baby killed by “choice?” Think it over!  For real choices and more information, call 312-422-9300.

Breast Cancer & Black Women        Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer

Abortion is the single most avoidable risk factor for breast cancer.  A British researcher described legal abortion as the best predictor of breast cancer trends.

Minority women constitute only 13% of the population, but account for 35% of abortions and a 20% higher death rate from breast cancer.

A black woman in the US has a 10% risk of contracting breast cancer during her lifetime, but black women under 40 who had an abortion have a 50% increased risk.  The risk jumped to 370% for black women over 50 who had aborted.

Women are not being told the truth about abortion and breast cancer in order to protect the abortion industry from lawsuits and preserve the legal status of abortion.  It is time to stop the cover-up.  Women deserve better. They deserve to know the truth.
