Whose Position is Radical? Occasionally, IRLC receives messages stating that we have no right to tell others what to do or as expressed in one email: One question for you Pro-Life advocates What gives you the right to decide another persons fate? Since some people consider Pro-Lifers as radical, here is a response that looks at who holds the radical position: You have certainly asked the right question! What gives anyone the right to decide another persons fate? Thus, consider these questions: What gives relatives or doctors the right to decide that an elderly or disabled person does not have sufficient quality of life and should be allowed to die by removing their source of food and water? We say they do not have this right and call it euthanasia. What gives doctors the right to provide deadly drugs to a patient so they can commit suicide because they dont want to burden their relatives? We say that they do not have this right and call it assisted suicide. What gives a woman the right to decide that the child in her womb is too inconvenient and should not be allowed to live? We say she does not have this right and call it killing a baby. What gives abortion providers the right to deny a woman the information she needs to make an informed choice, provide no medical care if complications occur, and even deny that she was a patient if she seeks recourse after a botched abortion? We say they do not have this right and call it malpractice. What gives doctors the right to decide that a child in the womb is too disabled and should not be allowed to be born? We say that they do not have this right and call it live birth abortion because labor is induced prematurely and when the baby is born alive, it is ignored and allowed to die. What gives abortion supporters and the media the right to lie about the known physical and psychological risks of abortion? We say they do not have this right and call it a cover-up. Whose fate is being decided by Pro-Lifers? We provide information through web sites, newslines, newsletters, billboards, signs, and speeches. We offer women alternatives to abortion through pregnancy help centers. Those who claim to be pro-choice have only one choice - death, without restriction or regulation. Who is trying to decide whose fate? Pro-Lifers do believe that it is someones right to decide a persons fate, but not ours. We leave that right in Gods hands where it belongs.
